One of our top wedding venues in York is the beautiful Grays Court. This hidden gem of a venue is situated just a stones throw from York Minster. Grays Court wedding photography enjoys the benefits of the city (the Deans Garden, access to the city walls and York Minster are all within easy walking) while also offering fantastic opportunities for quieter photography in the surrounding cobbled streets and walled garden.
Specializing in intimately sized weddings, Grays Court is, as beautiful inside as it is out – the 11th century house with it’s antiques-furnished rooms and Jacobean dining room, looks simply amazing. Grays Court has laidback elegance to spare and is the perfect setting for some really fun wedding photography in York. Fun Wedding Photography in York at Merchant Adventurers Hall
No less fantastic of a wedding venue is the awesome Merchant Adventurers Hall. Some of our favourite weddings have taken place at Merchant Adventurers Hall and it will always occupy a special place in any wedding season. As a grade 1 listed medieval building, Merchant Adventurers Hall wedding photography. is always amazing and the building makes a truly unique setting for a wedding. We love taking couples out to the beautiful walled garden or into the nearby historic Shambles to capture some quintessential York wedding photography.
The great hall and undercroft can seat up to 180 people – making Merchant Adventurers Hall the ideal space for weddings large and small. Later in the evening, the intimate undercroft is an atmospheric setting for dancing and creative York wedding photography.
Fun Wedding Photography in York at The Hospitium
On the other side of the city, in the heart of the beautiful Museum Gardens lies another of York’s top wedding venues. The 14th century Hospitium is a listed building and a wedding venue that we always enjoy returning to. The nearby riverside and Abbey ruins are great spots for wedding photography in York. Inside, the columned hall is a fantastic space for ceremonies and evening entertainment.
The Museum Gardens closes at dusk and we always love sneaking couples out into the deserted park for some really creative York wedding photography as the sun begins to set. With a really friendly and helpful staff, our couples have only ever had great things to say about getting married at the Hospitium and we always look forward to visiting this awesome venue.
